A giant landslide has severely damaged 16 houses in the village of Tojlaj, Guatemala. 55 people were evacuated
At least 55 people were evacuated and 16 houses were severely damaged by the detachment of a huge landslide in Guatemala.
The heavy rains that hit the region in recent days are to be considered responsible for the disaster that struck the village of Tojlaj, in the province of Huehuetenango.
Luckily, the landslide affected only a small part of the village and there were no casualties: if only the slide would have detached a few feet closer to the houses, it would have caused a lot more damage and put the lives of the inhabitants at fatal risk.
